Below is a list of questions I get asked often, so I thought it would be easier to put them all on my website for you to view. Everything you need to know is below, but if you have any other questions then please pop me an email.
WHAT IS THE BOOKING PROCESS?
Once you've enquired with me and filled out my enquiry form, I will email you back letting you know if I'm available for your date and let you know what the booking fee is to secure your date, how much travel costs will be and if I require any accommodation. Once I've heard back from you and you have confirmed you would like to book, I will send across an invoice for the booking fee and a contract for you to sign. The contract is digital so will only take 5 minuets to fill out. Please note that I do not reserve dates until I receive forms and a deposit. Once both of these things are back with me, I will send a confirmation email that I have receive them and let you know that you are all booked in. Whoop!
WHAT IS THE BOOKING FEE TO SECURE OUR DATE?
The booking fee to secure your date with me is 25% of the package price. This price covers emails, phone calls, zoom calls, pre-wedding meetings, welcome packs, and contracts. Please note that this payment is non-refundable in the case of cancellation.
HOW FAR WILL YOU TRAVEL?
Anywhere! Wherever you want me, I'll go.
Travel costs are included in my 'THE STORY' & 'THE FULL STORY' packages up to 50 miles, any milage over this will be calculated at 45ppm. Please note travel costs in my 'HOUR BY HOUR' package are not included. On travel 2 hours or more, accommodation the night before and after are required. I charge a fixed fee of £150 to cover this, however if you can put me up in your venue for two nights this cost won't be required.
WILL WE RECEIVE UN-WATERMARKED IMAGES?
Absolutely! I never send out watermarked images. You also receive printing rights to print out your images however you like.
ARE YOU INSURED?
Yes. I'm insured through HISCOX with public liability to £2,000,000 and professional indemnity to £250,000.
HOW LONG WILL OUR PHOTOS & FILM TAKE TO BE DELIVERED?
Within 6-8 weeks of your wedding date, however during a busy summer if may be up to 12 weeks. If your images aren't back with you within 8 weeks please don't message me asking where they are, they will be with you as soon as possible.
WILL WE RECEIVE SOME IMAGES AFTER THE WEDDING OR DO WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE FULL GALLERY?
A few days after your wedding day you will receive a gallery with some sneak peek images in, I will never make you wait for the full gallery to be finished. If you don't receive them within 4 days, please bear with, they are on their way!
AM I ABLE TO ADD ON EXTRA HOURS TO MY PACKAGE?
Yes! Hours can be added on at £150p/h for my full day packages. £200p/h for photo & film, and if you have a second shooter, £50p/h will be added on for them if you want them to stay longer too. If you've booked by the hour, extra hours are £200p/h.
WHEN WOULD YOU RECOMMEND HAVING A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER AND WHO WILL THEY BE?
If you are having a wedding of 70+ then having a second photographer is absolutely recommended. Even if you are having a smaller wedding but lots planned throughout the day where I will be needed multiple places at once, then adding on a second photographer is recommended so that everything you want is captured if I'm not available.
I always bring along a second photographer that I know, love their work and have a similar natural shooting style to me so that our images blend in nicely together.
CAN WE SEE SOME FULL GALLERIES BEFORE WE BOOK?
Of course! If you head to the 'MY WORK' page, there are a selection of full galleries at the bottom of the page for you to view.
IF WE HAVE BOOKED YOU FOR BOTH PHOT & FILM AND HAVE A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER INCLUDED, WILL THEY ALSO SHOOT BOTH LIKE YOU?
Not usually, the second photographer will shoot only photo while I do both. If you would like the second photographer to shoot both, then please let me know, I can arrange it if you give me plenty of notice and get you a price.
HOW DO YOU SHOOT BOTH PHOTO & FILM AT THE SAME TIME?
During the day I shoot both photo and film on one camera with my little DJI Osmo Pocket on the top to capture details of the day while I'm taking photos. During your ceremony I have one camera on a tripod at the back of the room to capture your ceremony from a different angle while I'm at the front taking images and videos on my main cameras. Then during your speeches I have a camera on a tripod pointing at the top table to capture the speeches, while I wander around capturing reactions and close ups.
WILL OUR IMAGES BE EDITED IN THE SAME STYLE AS ALL THE IMAGES ON YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA AND WEBSITE?
Yes! All my images are edited in the same style, I never edit differently. Some images may look brighter than others, this is due to the weather and lighting on the day. If the weather is gloomy then your images will be duller, if it's sunny then your images will be a bit brighter. If you do not like my editing style, please don't book me. Please also note that I do not provide RAW images.
WHEN DO WE BOOK IN OUR PRE-SHOOT?
If you have a pre-shoot included in your package or have added one on, this will be done during winter/spring time before my wedding season goes into full swing. I stick to South Yorkshire for all my pre-shoots, unless I have agreed a different location with you. For 2022 I have released some pre-shoot pop up dates with a specific location and times to choose from. If I haven't been in touch with you to book in our shoot by the end of January, please pop me an email and we will get it organised. If you don't have a specific location in mind, then you can choose one of the dates I've released and get booked in.
CAN WE SEND OVER SOME INSPIRATIONAL IMAGES FOR YOU TO RECREATE?
Of course. I'm happy for you to send me over some inspirational images that you'd like to get on your day. If they suit my style then I'm happy to try them with you, but please note that I never copy another photographers image, this means I will put my own twist on it. If you send me a long list of images I'm happy to do them if they suit my style but I might not get time to do them all. I will try my best to, but I can't promise anything.
WHAT IS YOUR COVID 19 PLAN?
In the case that I contract COVID-19 and I am unable to capture your wedding, I will be in touch and organise another photographer to come and photograph it on my behalf, for me to then edit and send to you. If I cannot find an associate photographer to photographer your wedding on my behalf I will be in touch and refund all money you have paid minus the booking fee. I am double vaccinated, so fingers crossed I am safe, however I still take precautions at weddings just in case. I will always be wearing a mask unless outdoors, have hand sanitiser on hand and I do a lateral flow test the night before each wedding just to be sure.
If you need to postpone your date I'm happy to move you over for free, provided your new date is in the same year. If the new date is the year/years after, there will be a postponement fee of £100 or the amount to make the package price up to the new years pricing.
